This very popular Access course will equip you with all the skills you need to build databases in Microsoft Access as well as preparing you for the Access element of the MOS exam. We operate a flexi-study system where you can start when you like and study at hours to suit you.
This course has been specifically designed for users of an Access 97database, who need to learn how to enter, query and print data effectively, but not necessarily understand topics such as database structure and table definition. This course will not provide delegates with the skills required to build applications.
This course provides a practical introduction to databases using Microsoft Access 2000. Working with a previously created database you will learn how to view and sort the data tables and create tables queries reports and forms for that data.
By the end of this course you will be able to create 1:1 and 1:many relational databases. You will be able to construct tables, implement forms, design and use simple and complex queries, and produce reports based on your data. This course requires that you have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and should also be able to use a mouse and keyboard. Target Audience: The course is aimed at those who will be designing, supporting and creating databases. Delegates will learn how to use the more advanced and powerful features of Access 2000 in order to be more efficient in data management including complex forms, reports with charts and action queries for bulk data processing.
This course is designed for computer users with little or no previous experience of Access, but who require a basic understanding of the product. Some knowledge of computer basics and working with Windows is expected. The topics covered on our "Introduction to Microsoft Windows" course are an adequate prerequisite for this course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: This one day course will give participants an overview of Microsoft Access and make them aware of the broad capabilities of the program. All the standard database commands will be covered including creating and working with tables, using queries to filter out required records, designing and using forms, and producing structured reports. A brief introduction to macros will be shown if time permits.
